After playing in the NRL All Stars vs Indigenous All Stars match recently, Jack Wighton visited Merimbula Public School! With him were his Canberra Raiders team-mates Mitch Cronin and Sami Sauiluma, NRL Development Officer Daniel York and Canberra Raiders Community Relations Manager Jake Roarty.

While at Merimbula Public School they showed a DVD titled "Tackle Bullying", which explained to students what bullying is, that bullying is unacceptable and what some anti-bullying strategies are. The players shared stories about how bullying has affected them in their lives as well as what students should do if they see someone being bullied.

The students enjoyed seeing the stars and listening to their stories, which complimented the school's own anti-bullying lessons and strategies. They also enjoyed having their photos taken with the players and having their souvenirs and autograph books signed.

After visiting our great school on February 20, the players were looking forward to visiting another 18 schools within the region over 3 days.

Students enjoyed meeting up with the Canberra Raiders at school as part of the Tackle Bullying workshop in the hall.
