Parents Ms Kim Fisher and Mrs Gai Sinclair assisted the students by coaching teams on the day and Mrs Karen Tarpey supported the school by scoring and taking photos at the event. Their professionalism and support was evident on the day.
The sportsmanship and outstanding behaviour of the Merimbula Public School sides was talked about throughout the day by parents and staff from surrounding schools. Students from Merimbula even assisted a child with special needs, from another school, to improve his batting. "I am really proud of our boys" said Mrs Hodsdon "They are great ambassadors for our school".
The Super 8's Carnival is an annual event attended by most Public Schools in the area. The carnival shields will be displayed in the school's Jackson Hall until next year's event.
