Stop Work Meeting

As you are probably aware the NSW Teachers Federation has called for teachers to stop work from 8.45am on Thursday morning (December 8), for approximately one hour. Merimbula Public School will be operational and will provide supervision for the duration of the stop work meeting. Should teacher supervision be reduced, classes will be combined for activities and Learning Support Officers will assist in the rooms as per usual. The school canteen will still operate on this day. Jindabyne Excursion Gets 5 Stars!

Last Week's Stage 3 Excursion Was A Success! Last Tuesday Stage 3 students and their teachers departed northward via coach to the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre, something they had been anxious to do all year. Upon arrival, luggage was unloaded and the children settled in to cabins, their home for the following days. 2017 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2016, all NSW public schools will receive a 2017 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. Welcome to our Kindy Class of 2017! We have had an amazing start to our 2017 Kindergarten Orientation Program! Thank you to all of the parents/caregivers who have attended enrolment interviews and school tours. Enrolment acceptance letters are being sent home this week. Grandparent's Day is celebrated in Australia on Sunday September 11 this year. Our school is holding a special Grandparent's Day Celebration on Monday September 12. Grandparents are invited up to the library. There is no need to sign in at the office as there will be a visitors sign in at the Library. The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability is a joint initiative of all Australian state and territory governments and non-government education bodies. Under the Australian Education Act, all schools are required to participate annually in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data. The data is collected annually across Australia to identify the number of school students with disability, as well as the level of reasonable educational adjustment provided for them within their educational setting.... On Tuesday June 28, Maka Ofati, Logan Staight, Hollie Staight and Calissa Badullovich went to Ulladulla to play Minnamurra Public School in Round 6 of the Primary School Sports Association's (PSSA) knockout tennis competition. NAIDOC Week Celebrations Come Early!

On Monday, April 4, 2016 our annual NAIDOC celebrations will be held early due to NAIDOC Week falling in the school holidays. We also have some great things to showcase and didn't want to wait! 2017 Enrolments Begin April 27!

Kindergarten enrolments will be taken from the beginning of Term 2, April 27. Enrolment Information Packs will be dropped off at local preschools throughout the school holidays for parents/carers to complete Enrolment Forms prior to attending Enrolment Interviews throughout the month of May.
