Merimbula Public School continues to be committed to excellence, opportunity and success. The school provides a caring, friendly environment in which students experience a variety of activities designed to cater for their individual needs.
The school continues to foster a productive partnership between the community, parents, students and teachers in a climate characterised by flexibility, commitment and teamwork.
I congratulate all students, commend to you the dedicated staff and thank the parents and wider school community for its support throughout 2009. Students
Merimbula Public School's current enrolment is 434 students. Enrolments include mainstream students, gifted and talented students, students with learning disabilities as well as a small number of Aboriginal students (5%) and students who are from non-English speaking backgrounds (5%).
Staff
Merimbula Public School employed 38 staff in 2009. Permanent and casual staff members were employed. These staff included: teacher aides, administrative staff, teaching staff, a general assistant and a school counsellor.
All teaching staff meet the professional requirements for teaching in NSW public schools.
